As some of you may be aware, there is an upcoming extensive reconstruction project for the A14 between junction 47a Haughley and 49 Tothill. The start date is February 2023 and completion is Summer 2024. These works will involve a contraflow between junction 43 Bury St Edmunds and Junction 51 Needham Market, which is almost 20 miles, with delays of 40+ minutes through the contraflow at peak times. There is also the probability that, during construction works, the road may be closed overnight (20.00 to 06.00).
It is likely these works may impact travelling times to and from evening league fixtures, etc. in the area for the next two seasons, so please make allowances in your travel plans.
